The cracked nail polish and an easter design

Hey guys,

So in my last post I showed you my blue glitter nails and I went into town after finding money on my boots advantage card a finally bought the Barry M nail effects plus a few others;

Pink Flamingo, This picture doesn't really show the true colour, it is more like a flamingo colour. Nice pastel pink to add to my collection :P

This is Mint Green and its another pastel colour. I think its really pretty :)

Its 2 for £5 at boots at the moment which is such good value :) I find Barry M polishes go on easy and make my nails harder as they have nail harder in them :)

Anyways i thought ill give the cracked polish a go on my glitter blue nail polish. With the nail effects if u put on a very thin layer u get smaller lines and if u use a thicker layer it has larger chunks of black.

Its pretty cool and heres the piccy's!

It was easy to do, next time I shall use a lighter undercoat as once it got too dark you couldn't really see the blue. At first its matt black and looks a bit crappy but once a top coats added it looks AWESOME :) Let me know if you have used this and if you think its worth it! :)

Easter Nails

Now I had this on for a day or two but got bored of looking at  blue so I came up with some easter nails,

For the fingers I had two flowers (pink and blue) and for my thumb I did a cupcake design;

So guys let me know what ya think on here or Facebook etc... Do you think the cupcake goes with the flowers or looks a bit out of place. I feel maybe the flowers should be a shade darker! But yes let me know and I shall post again soon :)

Nail Design I have recently done

I'v taken pictures of all the nail arts I have been doing so Ill post them here. The camera is just my rubbish blackberry though and its really terrible but hopefully you get the idea. I will get a new camera at some point :) 

This was around 5 weeks ago and I cut all my nails short. For the flowers I just used a toothpick :) I lasted for over a week which was nice :P

This picture isn't great but you get the idea. Its basically like the purple one but with silver trails. :/

Strawberry nails! Super happy with these and they took some time but it worked out well. Yet again I know its a terrible picture but the tips are bright green :) This ended up making my nails very thick :) I used a toothpick a bit bent to make the "seeds".

This was for my friend Val, and it had a bright pick base with gold and black print. I did go back and add some black dots in between so it wasn't just gold. 

My latest nails use three different colours to get the effect. I wanted to get the look of the expensive nail polishes. These remind me of the paint used at carnivals and it is very glitter in the light :) When I get my rhinestones I shall bling it up more :)

So thats the nail stuff for now. I will be doing more soon. If anyone wants to know how i did anything or colours I used I shall post another bit <3

Welcome to my blog!


Hopefully some one will read this and all will be good :)


Basically this blogs going to include lots of different things such as things im doing, things iv seen that are awesome, my nail art design and all the rest.


I thought it would be good to start will a bit about me so firstly my names Ash and I am about to finish my degree in Civil and Coastal Engineering. I picked this degree about I love building and engineering problems also my dads a civil engineer and hes told me stories about his career life and it sounds exciting. Plus I really want to go see the world :P


I grow up in Poole with is a lovely seaside town so this might be why I love the sea so much. I started a commercial BSAC diving course while at University and I am now a qualified commercial diver and recreation wise I am a Dive leader. Later this month I shall be doing my Instructors course so I can go teach diving to everyone else! :) I have seen some amazing things diving and cant wait to see everything the sea's have to offer :)


I am also artistic and after doing GCSE art I love creating things and drawing. Lately Iv been really into doing my nail art and I shall do an extra post on that :) 


I currently live with my boyfriend, Ben, who is awesome and its really fun living together. Plus he puts up with my very weird nature and is pretty :)


I think thats about it for now and I shall keep posting in the hope someone reads and comments asking questions etc...
