I'm Back!

Hey everyone!

Sorry about not posting in a while! Last week I did my three day diving course and I'm now an assitant open water diving instructor! YAY!

Then I went back home over the easter weekend to see my shiny family and friends. Had an awesome time! Also my parents lent me their spare digital camera so finally we have decent piccys!!

Here is a design I did when I went home. I used Barry M blueberry icecream as the base then added 3 coats of Sinful colours hottie. Then added some lines and rhinestones :) As you can see three days of diving KILLED my long nails so they are back to being stumps! :( Mega sad face! :(

Hope you all like! :) When I got back I found my China glaze- I'm Not Bitter & Naked and Sinful Colors - Let Me Go had arrived! I LOVE LOVE LOVE them but the let me go is just amazing!

Its a wonderful pearlesent colour and its purple and green and shiny! :)

Hope you all had a good Easter! :)

All in all a good haul for less than £10! I'v also got other things in the post but you'll have to wait a see!

OPI Banana Banndanna

Hey ladies!

I thought Ill do a little something with my opi Banana Bandanna that my sissy got me for Christmas!

At first this polish is proper streaky and needed 5 coats but i feel if I used a white base cost it wouldn't need as much! Its a lovely yellow pastel colour and the brush is easy to use. Heres the piccys! I added a top layer of Barry M glitter. It doesn't have a name on it but its whitey/clear glitter lines :) Lovely but difficult to remove!

I know the piccy's aren't the best but you can kinda seen the colour! Let me know what you think :)

Also I got a new haul today so I'm gonna do a new post in a second :)

Monochrome Scotch Tape :)

Hey Everyone :D

I thought I'll do something monochrome themed and Iv seen some bloggers use scotch tape to create designs!

I painted my nails with a cream colour from star gazer and then went into town to find some scotch tape. Found some cheap version in Wilkinsons which was awesome :)

Today I used: Cream from Star Gazer
                      Silver from Barry M
                      Miss Sporty Black
                      "Scotch" Tape

I painted the cream let it dry overnight then put tape over the top parts of my nails and did the silver and took the tape off before it dried. Then Repeated lower with the black :)

Let me know what you think!

Pink Wednesday Cheap Style!

Hey Girlies!

So for my pink Wednesdays today I took all my pink polishes out and had a look and I found I had two bottles of a Miss Sporty Pinky Colour. I have never even used this colour before for some reason so I thought ill give it a go!

Its part of their QuickDry in 1 min range and its a pearly candy pink shade. It doesn't have a number or name however these costs under £2 in the shops and its a good range for cheap polishes! and they are small for handy touch ups!

Near my window light- Getting a bit dark although

Artificial Light

The nail polish didn't dry in a minute... and I had a few smudge issues trying to do too many things at once!
But the colour is amazing its nice and shiny with a strong candy pink girly feel!

Have any of you got a cheap bargine polishes and loved them or have you had any nightmares with cheap rubbish?

Happy Wednesdays People! I can't wait till Masterchef is on at 9pm!

First Franken! - Into the Sea of Mercury

Hello Girlies!

So Today I made a nail polish! My Old Barry M top coat died and was horrible so I thought Ill use the bottle and make a shiny new colour called "Into the Sea of Mercury". I picked the name because its glossy like the Sea and its identical to a colour called Mercury Grey- A paint used in Classic Ford Capri's! Me and Ben have our own Capri in gold but I always love the Mercury Grey Colour! :)
The Capri! :P

To make this Mauve/Cornflour Blue colour I used Barry M's Cyan Blue and Pink Flamingo (I know iv been using it lots but I love this colour and going through a corally moment! :P)

So what do you all think? Yummy or Fail? And do you like the name?

Also heres a Piccy of the Hamster! Shes being all cute today so we bought her some apple :)

Water Marbling the first!

Hey guys!

So today after lotsa boring university work I decided to try water marbling. Very messy and it went every were including the table which boyfriend ben wasnt all too pleased with :)

Anyways heres what I used;

A cup of room temp filter water
A wooden stick for making the design
Tape for protecting my skin. Not that it helped much...

Base coat was a cream from star gazer (508)
Barry M cyan blue 294
Sinful Colours glamour puss
Barry M silver 110
Barry M Clear Basecoat, Top coat

Heres the piccys!

Left hand... Went a bit rubbish and prefer my other hand alot more

Right hand thumb - Beautiful :)

Right hand - Loving the designs here

Right hand close up

Right hand ring and little finger

Right hand full :D

Left hand- Meh the little finger is the best but the camera isnt to fond of taking pictures...

Left hand thumb... not good close up!

For my first marble im pretty happy. However the purple and silver would not spread out in the water very well and the blue was amazing. Next time gonna stay clear of the purple and silver and just use barry m's colours.
Also bubbling occured after i took my hand out the water. A coat of clear sorted it out although.

Overall not too bad and I like the effect alot. I didnt do any set pattern i think just going mad with it is fun! :)

Also on my pink wednesday mani after having that for a few days I coated it in glitter and it looked amazing :) Proper princessy :)

Let my know what ya all think and if you've tried marbling what polishes actually work for you. :)

Pink Wednesdays

So I joined the pink Wednesday thingy basically based on mean girls and how they wear pink on Wednesday. I know its Thursday now but i did this last night and only just got the chance to put it up as I was out today doing thing like getting my dry suit serviced for my training soon :)

I used my new Barry M pink flamingo for the base
A layer of Rimmel 60 seconds pink and a collection 2000 pink for the tips.
And then gold strips Golden Wonder by Rimmel which is one of my fav polishes ever :P

Tried to get it so you can see the sparkle of the tips but the camera couldnt pick it up that well!

Anyway guys let me know what you think and hopefully my dotting tools turn up some along with my rhinestones!!

Also have a look at what Ben did to his blackberry storm with some carbon fibre stickers :P

Swishhh! Too bad the phones a load of rubbish hehe :P

Nighty night all xxxxxxxxxx
